Season 2026 is over: injuries, rookies and a home thriller for 3rd place
Moments when everything clicked, and games when we ran on empty. Seven rookies, preparation for the European Championship and a home battle for bronze down to the last second.

Season 2026 was quite a ride for us at Bats. If we had to sum it up in one word: good. We had moments when absolutely everything clicked on the floor, but also games where we had to dig deep.
Seven rookies in one season
Squad depth and injuries, which did not spare us during the year, gave us a hard time. But it had one huge upside: we brought in 7 rookies. For the guys it was their first real season in a Bats jersey, but they dived in head first, gave 100 % and showed that we definitely have to count on them in the future.
We also treated the whole season as honest preparation for the European Championship. As always, we enjoyed the road trips. A good crew in the car and in the locker room simply sticks together.
Home game of the year
We saved the best for our home floor. In front of our own fans we played one of the most beautiful and nerve-racking games of the season. In a head-to-head battle for 3rd place in the league we went all out until the final seconds and left everything on the floor. This is exactly why we play lacrosse.
This is why we play lacrosse.
Thank you to everyone who supported us in the stands and on the road. We will rest, heal our bruises and see you on the floor soon. GO BATS!
